PRACTICE TIMES AND HOW TO INQUIRE ABOUT THEM
We will send an email notification to all those who were able to participate about a week before the start of the season, when the groups have been published, and they can be seen in TennisClub under Coaching / My groups. Players who were not able to participate in the first phase will be notified separately by email.
TRAINING PLACE AND SEASON
Training sessions will be held at Smash Center, Varikkotie 4 and Arena Center in Myllypuro, Alakiventie 2, 00920 Helsinki. The training season is Mon 11.8.2025 - Sun 31.5.2026 . The newly formed summer groups will train from 1.–18.6.2026. Participation in or exclusion from summer groups will be noted on the application form.
By registering for Smash's adult coaching, the player commits to participating throughout the 2025–2026 indoor season, with classes continuing in the same groups during the spring semester without separate notice. Groups can be changed whenever necessary. (the coach decides on the group according to the player's level ) , but no one will be transferred to a new group without consultation and notification.
TRAINING PLACE = TRAINING SESSION
Each weekly training session of a player means the same number of coaching slots. For example, if a player has one training session per week, he has one coaching slot. Similarly, someone who trains three times a week has three coaching slots, etc.
TEAM DISCONTINUATION MID-SEASON
Smash ry reserves the right to disband a coaching group. Players will be notified of the possible disbandment of the group no later than 21 days before the group's last coaching session. Players in the disbanded group will be transferred to other groups if possible.
HOLIDAY EXERCISES
Coaching classes will be held normally on all public holidays except for the Christmas break (23.12.2025-1.1.2026), Easter (3.4.-6.4.2026) and May Day on 1.5.2026.
Coaching is normally organized during the school autumn holidays, on Independence Day on December 6th, Epiphany on January 6th, and on Ascension Thursday on May 29th.
Smash ry reserves the right to make group changes during holidays and during the school ski vacation from February 14 to February 20, 2026. During holidays and school ski vacation, training may be condensed so that, for example, one coach guides two groups of the same level on adjacent fields.
INVOICING
The basis for billing is the seat in the assigned room. in the coaching group and the group 's activities from then on , when the player joins - not individual participation times. Fall coaching hours are invoiced in two installments and spring hours are invoiced in two installments . Invoices are sent to the address given on the registration form . to the email address (for information and billing purposes ) . Participation in the training is subject to payment of previous training fees.
Billing always takes place at the end of the period.
Adult coaching bills can pay With the ePassi sports benefit. Other sports benefits are not accepted as a payment method. Smash for training organized by the association .
The season fee consists of billing periods ( Note ! See also the section "Cancellation from coaching during the season"):
1st period: 11.8.2025 - 14.10.2025
2nd period: 15.10.2025 - 22.12.2025
3rd period: 2.1.2026 - 15.3.2026
4th period: 16.3.2026 – 31.5.2026
5th period: 1.6.2026 – 18.6.2026
TESTS AND THEIR BILLING
When a new player joins a group for an agreed level test, the test is free of charge if it is determined that the group is not suitable for the player and there are no other suitable group places available. This also means that the player may not necessarily be allowed to continue the entire hour of training (however, most of the training is based on pair training and training is paid for those already in the group). There are a maximum of 2 test sessions in different groups. If the player's level allows him to be in the entire hour of training and the group place in question or some other group place in coaching is agreed upon as a regular place for the player after the level test, then the first time, i.e. the test session, will also be charged.
MEMBERSHIP
Participation in the training requires membership in Smash ry. Participants will be added as members of Smash ry if they are not already members. Those participating in the training do not need to apply for membership separately.
New adult trainees pay half of the 2025 membership fee, €25 (€50 for the whole year) in connection with the first training fee in the autumn and agree to comply with Smash ry's coaching and invoicing terms. The 2025 membership fee will be invoiced according to the club's normal practice and part of it will not be refunded, even if the trainee terminates the training during 2025.
Membership is continuous until it is terminated in writing, either by sending the coaching termination form by email to smash@smash.fi or by post to the Smash office at Smash ry, Varikkotie 4, 00900 Helsinki. The person resigning is obliged to pay their membership fee for the relevant year. Termination of coaching does not automatically terminate the club membership, but when terminating coaching, you can also notify us if you do not wish to continue your membership in the following year. Membership is valid until the end of the calendar year after termination.
It is not enough to resign by giving notice orally or in writing, e.g. to the coach or for the cashier .
CHANGE OF PLAYER CONTACT INFORMATION
The player is obliged to maintain his/her name and contact information. Changes to contact information are primarily made by logging in to the TennisClub system under the “My Information” tab. Changes to contact information can also be reported by sending an email to smash@smash.fi
ILLNESS, INJURY AND ABSENCE FROM TRAINING AND COMPENSATION SYSTEM
Any absence lasting at least 4 weeks must be reported and a medical certificate must be sent to Fiija Ketonen, the adult coaching coach, at fiija.ketonen@smash.fi. Such an absence from coaching lasting at least 4 weeks will be taken into account in the invoicing. against a medical certificate, with a deductible period of two weeks from the date of notification . Two deductibles mean for the player absences for which the player can try to find replacement hours . Individual absences are not taken into account in billing .
If the absence lasts longer than 4 weeks:
- The player must pay the coaching fee normally from 4 weeks onwards if he wants to keep his place. - At the beginning of the absence, the player can also withdraw from coaching completely if he wishes after sending a medical certificate (in which case the place can be offered to others), in which case he only pays the deductible for two weeks. Once the player is back in playing condition, he can try to return to the coaching groups through the waiting list maintained by the responsible coach for adult coaching.
padel coaching uses a compensation system, which is part of the TennisClub system. For more information about the compensation system and how it works, see the Compensation system page. A maximum of 5 training sessions can be stored in the autumn season and a maximum of 6 training sessions in the spring season. A maximum of 2 absences can be stored in June groups. Absences must be entered into the compensation system in advance, at least 12 hours before the training session.
Accumulated compensation hour balances can be used over the season in the following ways: Hours from the fall period 2025 can be used in the spring period 2026 and the summer period 2026. Hours from the spring period 2026 can still be used in the summer groups 2026. Compensation hour balances will reset after the summer period 2026.
Smash ry is not obligated to compensate for unused coaching hours, and they will not be compensated financially.
Note ! The compensation system is an additional service and does not guarantee compensation for all absences.

POSTPONEMENT OF COMPENSATION LESSONS DUE TO LONG-TERM SICKNESS ABSENCE
In cases of long-term illness, a player's replacement hours can be transferred to the next part of the season for a period longer than the time specified in the coaching terms, if the player's previous part of the season is interrupted due to injury or illness as follows:
If a player misses a season due to a long-term (more than 6 weeks) injury or illness, and the player has to miss training groups as a result, 50% (rounded up to the next half/half hour) of the balance at the beginning of the injury will be transferred to the next season. A medical certificate is always required for this transfer, and the transfer balance must be applied for separately from the coach in charge during the next part of the season, while the hours from the previous season have not yet been reset. That is, a player who missed the season in the fall will apply for a transfer of the balance during January, not earlier or later. A player who missed the season in the spring (you cannot be away for 6 weeks in the summer) will apply for a transfer of the balance after the start of the next season.
WITHDRAWAL FROM COACHING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEASON
Resignation from coaching during the season must be made in writing by completing Cancellation form. Cancellation takes effect when the current billing period ends.
Canceling your coaching does not automatically cancel your membership in Smash ry, but you can also use the form to indicate when canceling your coaching if you do not want to continue your membership the following year.
If a player has at least one coaching position remaining for the season, then simply sending a notice of termination of the other coaching positions to be suspended via email to the coach in charge is sufficient (in which case the billing for the coaching positions in question will end at the end of the billing period in question).
Billing periods and last days of notice for billing periods:
1st period: 11.8.2025 - 14.10.2025 (last withdrawal date from 1st period is 31.7.2025)

NOTE ABOUT SPECIAL NEEDS
In group coaching, we cannot take into account any special needs of an individual player that would require separate assistance/assistant.
COACH'S ABSENCE
The group is primarily coached by the coach assigned to it. In the absence of the coach, another Smash ry coach will replace him. If a replacement coach is not available and the players are informed of the coach's absence and the players are provided with training equipment, the players will receive a balance in the compensation system corresponding to the duration of the training, which they can use in other groups. In such cases, the training session will be invoiced.
If players are not informed in advance (3 hours in advance) about the coach's absence, they will not be charged for the training session. However, players may use their turn by playing with each other.
An individual practice can also be held so that, in the event of illness, one coach guides two groups of the same level on adjacent fields.

BEHAVIOR
Players must treat other players in their group and the coach with respect. Swearing, throwing the stick and other inappropriate behavior are prohibited. If a player's actions cause damage to the court surface or other property or movables, he is liable to compensate for the damage he has caused.

Coaching fees will not be refunded for that period.
INTERRUPTION OF OPERATION
If we have to suddenly interrupt a group coaching session for reasons beyond our control (e.g. power outage on the premises), the coaching session will not be compensated financially. The interrupted session will be compensated either by adding balance to the compensation system or by arranging replacement exercises at a separately announced time .
LANGUAGE OF INSTRUCTION
The language of instruction for the coaching is Finnish. If the coaching language in the group is English, this will be stated separately.
GROUP EXERCISE
In team-based training sessions for adult padel coaching , a certain training time is reserved for players from a specific series padel team. Places are primarily reserved for players from the team in question. If more players from a team want to participate in the coaching activities than there are places in the coaching group, a rotation list is made for the coaching group, which determines the players who will participate each time.
If the team has two fields for practice, there must be at least 6 regular players in practice. The remaining vacant spots will be filled with regular players. If the number of players drops to 5 players during the season, the second field will be given up and the team will move to the rotation list (see above).
If a player leaves the team during the season, the right to participate in training will also be lost. In this case, the normal notice periods of the coaching terms and conditions do not apply to the player or the club.
The compensation system is NOT used in groups unless it is separately agreed upon within the group.

- This will ensure that the invoicing entries are correct.
- If no notification is made, the bill for that hour will normally be sent to player X.
Invoices for substitute sessions are invoiced at the same time as other coaching invoices.
NEW PLAYERS WILL BE JOINING THE TEAM FOR TEAM PRACTICES IN THE MID-SEASON
